Unfortunately, Farrah Fawcett has been all over the news lately because of her deteriorating health. However, Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, is also in the news after police say they found him carrying narcotics near a jail in Castaic, California.

Redmond was driving with a friend to see an inmate at the Pitchess Detention Center South in California. Redmond admitted to being in possession of narcotics when they were pulled aside at a routine check point on the way to the jail.

Redmond is now being held on $25,000 bail pending a hearing later today. He was charged with possession of narcotics and bringing narcotics to a jail.

Farrah Fawcett, who has been in the spotlight lately due to her poor condition as a result from her 3-year battle with cancer, has not commented on her son. Remond O’Neil and his father, Ryan O’Neil, were both arrested in a drug bust in 2008.

  2. Sharon Breisch Said:

I hate hearing about any young man being jailed. My son has been incarcerated since 2005. He will be getting out in Aug 2009. You can be rich or poor, but life happens and their family should let them know they love them anyway. My son’s father passed away two weeks ago. I hope Redmond makes his mother proud in the future.

  3. Lisa Walls Said:

It doesn’t matter if you have money or not! It is a disease an it doesn’t discriminate. You can be rich or poor. You can hit your bottom on a mansion floor or on the streets. Lets hope he gets the treatment he needs. I will keep the whole family in my prayers. Criticizing does not help anyone during this difficult time for the family.
